My Approach

My goal is to bring a thoughtful and deeply human perspective to our work. My approach to psychiatric treatment is grounded in the belief that meaningful, lasting change comes from understanding the full context of a person’s life: biological, psychological, and relational.

I take an integrated, holistic approach that combines psychodynamic psychotherapy with careful, evidence-based medication management, when appropriate. In addition to focusing on symptom reduction, I work with you to explore underlying patterns, integrate emotional experiences, and understand the ways that past and present relationships shape your inner world.

I view treatment as a collaborative process. My role is not only to offer clinical expertise, but also to serve as a thoughtful partner in helping you make sense of your life. This often involves creating space for curiosity, reflection, and sometimes discomfort in the service of deeper understanding and growth.

When medications are part of treatment, I approach them deliberately and transparently. I use medications to support stability and functionality while remaining attentive to your goals, preferences, and concerns. Rather than taking a one-size-fits-all approach, I tailor treatment to your individual needs and values.
