Initial Psychiatric Consultation

This service is for new patients looking to establish care or those seeking a one-time consultation. At the end of this 60-minute appointment, I provide you with a thoughtful, diagnostic assessment and treatment recommendations. During the appointment, we'll discuss your current psychiatric symptoms, your history of psychiatric care, and your medical history. We'll also discuss aspects of your life that are meaningful and shape who you are. Treatment recommendations may include medication(s), psychotherapy, or both.

Integrated Medication and Psychotherapy

This service is for established patients who are already working with a therapist or who prefer a medication-based approach. During these appointments, we’ll meet for approximately 25-minutes and review how you are doing. Generally, we’ll discuss any new challenges or stresses in your life and how you are responding to your psychiatric medications. Together we'll examine how well your mediations are working and if they are causing any side effects. We'll then determine if medication adjustments are appropriate. The frequency of our visits will be tailored to fit your individual needs and treatment goals.

Psychiatric Medication Management

This service is for established patients who are seeking to use both psychotherapy and medications, as appropriate, to improve their wellbeing. We'll meet weekly or twice weekly for 50-minute appointments. I take a psychodynamic and psycho-analytically informed approach to therapy. This means that we’ll be working together to understand how your mind works, recognize thoughts and feelings that may be out of your awareness, and notice patterns in the ways that you feel, relate to others, and relate to yourself. This involves co-creating a space for curiosity, reflection, and sometimes discomfort in the service of deeper understanding and growth.
